Kelly strives to cultivate opportunities that empower individuals to reach their full potential and engage in meaningful work. In her current role is as an Academic Adviser at the University of Washington (UW) School of Social Work, she consults current MSW students to ensure that they are on track towards degree completion. She also provides workshops and training sessions for students to increase their skill sets as they endeavor into their academic and professional pursuits.
In her spare time, Kelly also volunteers on several leadership and professional boards to bolster diversity and learning and development. As such, she has developed a curriculum to empower high school girls who are interested in STEM through a non-profit called, Thriving Elements, and she provides professional development opportunities for UW advisers through her role on the Graduate and Professional Advisors Association.
Kelly is enthusiastic about the opportunity to serve as the staff adviser for the Student Consult Groups (SCG) and utilize her talents to further support professional development opportunities for students.
